Privacy, in plain words.
This page covers your pre-order. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect when you pre-order
Your name, your WhatsApp number, your email address, and your child's age, before you pay. Your delivery address, after you pay.
That is everything we ask you for. Your browser also tells us where you arrived from, what device you are on, and your network address, and if you have a Meta cookie on your device we read the identifier in it. Every website receives the first of those, and we keep all of them with your order so we know which of our own pages and advertisements are working. We ask your child's age because Kheelu is built for a narrow band of ages and we want to send you the right thing. We do not ask for your child's name, their school, their photograph, or anything else about them.
We never see your payment details
Your payment is taken by Razorpay, an Indian payment company, on their own secure form. Your card number, your UPI ID, and your bank details go to them and never to us. We receive a payment reference and the amount, which is all we need to know that your pre-order is real.
Razorpay's form sets its own cookies while you are paying, which is how a payment page keeps track of a payment in progress. That is theirs, not ours.
Why we ask for each thing
Your WhatsApp number and your email are how we tell you about your own order: the confirmation, the balance payment link, and any change to the 20 October 2026 ship date. Your address is how your Kheelu reaches you. Your child's age helps us plan production for the right ages.
None of it is ever used to profile your child. When you pre-order, one-way codes derived from the details you enter are shared with Meta so we can tell whether our advertising worked, and that is explained further below. The details themselves are never shared in readable form.
Where it lives, and who else touches it
Your order is stored in a database run by Supabase, and only the Kheelona team can read it. Our confirmation emails are delivered by Resend. This website is hosted by Vercel. Those three, plus Razorpay for the payment, are everyone who holds your details, and each one is doing a job we could not do ourselves. Meta is sent a coded version of some of them when you pre-order, which is explained in full below.
If you have paid us, we have to keep the order record for our tax accounts, even after a refund, because Indian tax law requires it of any company. We delete everything we are not required to keep, on request.
How we measure visits
We count page views and visits so we can see which parts of this site actually help you decide. Five tools do it, on this site and on our store. Vercel Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics set no cookies and do not follow you to other sites. Google Analytics and PostHog do set cookies, in your browser, to tell a returning visit from a new one.
The fourth is different, and we would rather say so than bury it. The Meta Pixel, from the company that runs Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, sets a cookie and does follow you to other sites. It is how we know whether an advertisement we paid for actually brought somebody here, and it is how you may later see a Kheelona advertisement on Facebook or Instagram. Meta receives the page you looked at, and whether you pre-ordered and for how much.
PostHog is the most detailed of the five, so it is worth being specific. It records which buttons and links you tap, and it records a replay of your screen as you move through the site, which is how we find the places where the pre-order form confuses people. It also tells us when something breaks, so we hear about it before you have to. It does not follow you to other sites, and it is never used to advertise to you.
Two things about that replay, because a recording of your screen is a serious thing to run. Anything you type is hidden before the recording leaves your browser: it shows that a box was filled in, never what you put in it. And we switch recording off completely on the order confirmation page, because that page reads your delivery address back to you and we would rather it were never filmed at all than filmed carefully. PostHog stores what it collects on servers in the United States.
When you pre-order, we store alongside your order the anonymous identifier PostHog has already given your browser. It is what lets us see that a visit turned into an order, which is how we tell whether our advertising is worth what it costs. It is an identifier for a browser, not a profile of a person: it carries no name of its own, and we do not ask PostHog to build a profile from it.
In the same way, if you reach us from one of our advertisements, we remember which advertisement brought you, so that we can tell which ones are worth paying for. That is kept in a small file on your own device, only for as long as your visit lasts, and it holds which campaign and which click brought you here. Meta can match that click back to your account, which is how an advertisement gets credited with a sale. We cannot, and we never learn who you are on Meta.
What these tools record is the page you looked at, your country, your browser, and where the visit came from. Vercel Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics are never given anything more than that.
The Meta Pixel is the exception. When you use our order forms, details you enter can be included with what it reports, always as a one-way code and never in readable form. A one-way code lets Meta check whether you match somebody they already know; it is not the details themselves. That is how we can tell that the person who pre-ordered is the person who saw our advertisement.
Two things are happening there, and they are worth separating. Meta's script in your browser reads what it recognises on our forms, and we do not choose that field by field. Our own server separately sends a small, fixed set when an order completes: coded forms of your email, your phone number and your first name, together with your network address, which browser you are using, and the identifiers already stored in Meta's own cookie on your device. Those last ones are not coded, because recognising a returning visitor is exactly what they are for.
We never use any of it to profile your child, we never sell it, and we never trade it.
If you would rather not be counted, your browser can block the tools that load from another company's address, and most of the Meta Pixel. Private browsing, an ad blocker, or turning off third party cookies all help, and none of them stop the site or the store from working.
Be aware of the gaps, because we would rather you heard them from us. PostHog now reports through our own address rather than its own, so an ad blocker usually cannot tell its requests apart from the site itself. The report our server sends to Meta when a pre-order completes is sent by us, not by your browser, so blocking cannot prevent it either. What you can do instead is turn off personalised advertising inside your own Facebook or Instagram settings, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time, which is explained further down.
What we never do
We never sell your data. We never sell your child's data. We never trade what you typed into the pre-order form, and we never hand it to anyone who is not helping us deliver Kheelu to you.
We do advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and the Meta Pixel described above is how we measure that. Details you enter on our forms can be included with what it reports, as one-way codes and never in readable form, so a sale can be matched to an advertisement. We do not use any of it to profile your child.
Leaving, and deleting
You can ask us to delete your details at any time. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 91875 46483, reply to any email we have sent you, or write to hello@kheelona.com. If you have an open pre-order, deleting your details means cancelling it, so we will refund you at the same time.
When Kheelu ships
The product itself follows stricter rules, explained in plain words on our Safety page: conversations stay in your region, nothing is collected without parent consent, any conversation can be deleted in one tap, and your child's voice data is never sold.
A full product privacy policy will be published here before Kheelu ships.
